        February 3, 2026 - AFNOR presentation on certification issues for sustainable water management

        📅 On Tuesday, 3 February, AFNOR hosted a workshop on certification issues for companies in relation to sustainable water management.

        💧After presenting its activities, AFNOR shared its experience on these issues and led a discussion session on the following topics:

        • Voluntary standardisation, a strategic lever for companies
        • Concrete means of action available to companies to use voluntary standardisation
        • ISO 46001 and ISO 14046 standards on sustainable water management
        • Compilation of issues and challenges faced by WaterShift partners and discussion on available levers for action

        December 4, 2025 - Third Watershift workshop: Financing water management projects and infrastructure

        📅 On Thursday, 4 December 2025, our partner Leonard hosted a new WaterShift workshop dedicated to the challenges of financing water management projects and infrastructure.

        💧Our partners shared their issues, roadmaps and feedback on:

        • The visible gap between the sector's announced investment needs and limited growth projections.

        • Available financing mechanisms, from the Seine-Normandy Water Agency to the Banque des Territoires, including long-term loans, engineering support, and innovation financing.

        • Innovative approaches such as internal water pricing to better promote sustainable water management projects and stimulate strategic investments.

        🆕 We are pleased to welcome Sika to the WaterShift initiative.

        As an internationally recognized company, Sika designs and develops innovative solutions for the protection, waterproofing, and durability of hydraulic infrastructures.

        Sika joins the WaterShift initiative with the goal of contributing to the development of sustainable water resource management through concrete actions, by leveraging its expertise and technologies to support the environmental transition.

        September 24, 2025 – Partner workshop: Challenges and innovations around water recycling
        📅 On September 24, 2025, a WaterShift partners visit was held, dedicated to the challenges and innovations around water recycling (rainwater, greywater, water reuse).

        On the agenda:
        ✅ Visit of the CIRSEE and five of its laboratories:

        • BIOPROCESSlab (treatment of pollutants and recovery of wastewater resources)
        • MEMLab (evaluation of UF, NF and reverse osmosis membranes)
        • PIPELab (qualification of materials and improvement of network performance)
        • TREATlab (optimization of drinking water treatment processes)
        • PLASTlab (characterization, recycling and development of new plastics)

        ✅ Collaborative workshop with a presentation by SUEZ Consulting and exchanges between partners
        ✅ Sharing of feedback, challenges, and identified best practices

        July 16, 2025 – International online session: Business continuity & industrial ecology
        💧 As part of the WaterShift initiative, we were pleased to host an international online session dedicated to the challenges of business continuity and industrial and territorial ecology.

        ✅ Focus on climate change-related disruptions

        ✅ Sharing of experiences from an industrial and territorial ecology project in southern France

        ✅ Pitch from EHAB, an innovative solution for managing weather and climate risks for businesse

        EHAB is developing a climate risk management platform dedicated to the industrial and construction sectors. Its solution leverages weather data and climate projections to help companies anticipate hazards, reduce operational losses, and optimize planning.

        Aquality offers rainwater harvesting systems for applications such as washing machines, watering and cleaning, as well as a grey water treatment system capable of filtering water without the need for a power supply or chemical additives.

        Nomad'o

        Nomado offers containerised wastewater treatment solutions for construction sites and industry. The start-up produces systems for a wide range of uses, including the management of water from tunnel boring machines, concrete mixing plants, living bases and rainwater.
